Eli celebrated his first birthday! He spent a leisurely Thursday morning at 221 Marina Blvd with his grandparents and enjoyed opening some gifts over brunch. He returned home and opened some toys sent direct from his Florida grandparents. Saturday was the big party where Eli got to show off his collection of toys to his Bright Horizons Day Care buddies. Thanks to everyone who came. Pictures will go up this week.

Serena graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2000 with a Masters in Avian Sciences and then in 2004 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interest is in companion feline, avian and exotic medicine. She has conducted research in chinchilla dental disease and avian immunology. Matthew Brenner, Esq.
 
Matthew graduated from Whittier Law School and decided to pursue a non-legal career path in higher education. He accepted a position at Southwest Texas State University (now TSU, San Marcos) and relocated after one year to Davis California where he served as a judicial officer in Student Housing for five years. He took a detour in 2007 to start an online business with Robert Gavin. Matthew retired from the ticket business in June of 2007. You can still purchase tickets at ticketzoom.com. Matthew is currently working as a pro bono attorney for Legal Aid of Marin and operates his own law practice out of San Rafael, CA at Matthew Brenner Law. Elijah Daniel Brenner
 
Elijah Daniel was born on February 4, 2009. He just celebrated his first birthday and is looking forward to some big events this year. Eli will travel to Sun Valley at the end of February. He is anxiously anticipating the wedding of Uncle Avi and Aunt Dara in Hawaii. And the summer starts with a trip to Yosemite with all the grandparents and Uncle Josh, Aunt Becky and his cousins Jacob and Noah.

Eli enjoys hanging out with his friends at Bright Horizons Day Care at Marin Commons, taking long baths and playing with anything he can get his hands on. He spent a wonderful New Years in Santa Barbara where he strolled on the beach for the first time and also had his first experience in a swing, which is now one of his favorite activities.

Maxwell Soke Brenner
 
Maxwell Soke Brenner was born on June 22, 2007 at Marin County General Hospital with a growth disorder called Beckwith-Weidemann Syndrome and passed on September 21, 2007.
